Debi Gutierrez is on a mission to improve relationships “one laugh at a time”. She’s a whirlwind of energy on stage as she blazes through common issues that every couple experiences but with a unique twist – she doesn’t alienate men!
Debi speaks with an authority likened to a seasoned therapist. Only without all that "tell each other how you really feel" B.S.! As Debi so aptly puts it, “If you treat your man right, he’ll walk through hell to bring you a glass of ice water.”
During her 17-year career, she’s gone from high-school teacher to international performer and is a regular at premiere comedy clubs in Los Angeles and around the country. Debi has appeared on Lifetime, Showtime, NBC, CBS, HBO, as the Ebay Girl and much more! Once dubbed "The Mommycomic", Debi's comedy act switched gears when the kids started to leave for college. She had an epiphany sitting across from her husband at dinner one night. "Who are you?" she thought as she realized she had sided with the kids all those years and was now stuck with a man she no longer knew. She began a quest to rebuild the intimacy and bond that had originally forged their union and learned volumes of insight along the way. Then, she turned that insight into a 45-minute show about strong, sexy marriages and relationships.
During her show, Debi disassembles and then explains the "language of love" spoken by men to waves of laughter and agreement - regardless of age or demographic. Men cheer and pound the tables like they're watching a football game at her explanations of their character and behaviors. (Some even try to high-five her during the show!) Women react with over-animated head nods and resounding cries of agreement at Debi's pointed honesty about what women go through.

After her show, couples leave feeling like they've gained a new understanding of each other. They walk out holding each other and recounting parts of the act they've connected with.
Debi is a keen observer of life & relationships and sees every moment as a time to gather material for her comedy act, keynote speeches, interviews and panel discussions.
Recently, Debi completed five seasons as the host of the daily parenting show, A Place Of Our Own, at KCET. On set, she effortlessly navigates through topics and discussions in a natural yet structured way that allows her guests to comfortably be real and share their views and experiences. The show, and its sister series, Los Ninos En Su Casa, have quickly snapped up three prestigious awards that include an Emmy, a National Peabody Award and The Parents’ Choice Award.

More recently, Debi completed a season as the host of the Gameshow Network program "Hidden Agenda". Hidden Agenda is a new domestic hidden-camera game show in which one member of a couple attempts to persuade his or her partner to complete a series of challenges—without letting on that the world is watching. Debi, whose comedy career has thrived on the communication between couples, serves as host of the show and as the couples’ cheerleader.
