Mr. Lamont R. Bonman

Lamont has a commanding stage presence, and, together with his sharp wit, keen insight and overwhelming love for the Lord, he has earned a very enthusiastic and loyal following. Lamont has been featured on BET's "Comic View," "Murder She Wrote" and the short movie “Circle of Pain" for Showtime. Lamont showcased on Martin Lawrence Presents “First Amendment” on the Starz Network, and he was the warm-up comedian for the award winning show “Celebration of Gospel” on BET which featured such artists as Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Shirley Caesar, Andre Crouch, Mary Mary, Steve Harvey and Destiny's Child.
Lamont is a regularly featured comedian on TBN’s “Praise the Lord” and did the warm-ups for the feature “Thou Shalt Laugh.” He has appeared on comedy shows which featured artists such as the late Robin Harris, Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Jamie Fox; Robin Williams and Robert Townsend to mention a few. Lamont recently taped the pilot “War on Comedy” for the producers of HBO’s “Taxicab Confessions.”

Lamont has starred in the stage hits "Beauty Shop," "Wicked Ways," "I Need a Man," and "Paint the White House Black" and has been featured at the "World Famous Comedy Store," "The Improv," "The Ice House," and other comedy venues around the country.

Lamont has been a contributing factor at many worthwhile events such as City of Refuge Church's "Stop the Violence Conference,” the Union Rescue Mission's Recovery Program for Men, and Crenshaw Christian Center's Pastors Conference and “FICWFM,” plus he has been a platform artist with Chuck Colson’s prison fellowship “Operation Starting Line.”

Lamont’s passion is winning souls through his signature comedy show, “The Gospel Komedy Slam.” “The Slam” has featured nationally known Christian comedians such as Sherrie Shepherd from “The View”, Thor Ramsey from the hit show “Bananas,” Ron Pearson from “The George Lopez Show,” and Michael Jr. a regular on the NBC’s “Tonight Show.”

From churches to banquet halls and theaters, Lamont's performances have garnered much well-deserved acclaim because of his unique improvisational style and because Lamont seeks to inspire, even more than entertain. As a gospel comedian, he makes a difference to all who witness his gift and whatever the event, Lamont is prayerful that he will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and that he will incite others to seek Him more diligently
